Date: 12/28/2009
Dear Intercessors,
Here is a news article which gives details of the current actions to deport the Hmong refugees from Thailand to Laos. Click.
The remaining believers from the NamKhao Baptist Church will now be scattered across Laos as the others already repatriated. Many of them face difficulites. Please pray:
1. For their safety during this process.
2. Livelihoods upon return to Laos. Most of them left all they had when they fled the first time. They return with, and to nothing.
3. That none of the believers would fall away from the faith, instead they would be bold for the Lord.
4. Many of the unbelievers might turn to Christ in the midst of their difficulites.
5. Churches would be established throughout their homeland as they return. This has already begun with other believers who have returned earlier.

Dear Intercessors,
It has been some time since we updated you concerning the Lao Hmong refugees in Thailand. Actually many of them have already been moved back to Laos, including large numbers of the NamKhao Baptist Church families. These families are scattered around the rural areas of Laos. Please keep praying for them as most remain faithful to the Lord in the midst of their difficulties.
For those of you who have not yet heard this info from Jeff Lange, it looks like the remainder of the refugees will be forced back across the border very soon. The government has stated that they will all be gone by the end of the year. At this point, many soldiers are present near the camp. Many transport vehicles are on hand. Bro. Lange has received several calls from people inside the camp.
Please pray for the believers that they will be able to minister and none will fall away during this trial. Many of the refugees are not believers. Pray for them also that adversity will focus them on spiritual things. Pray that violence can be avoided.
Thank you for your concern for these dear people.

Subject: Gaudet Family Update - Maybe in the USA longer?
Date: 12/21/09
MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Gaudet Family!
Dear Faithful Intercessors,
We have almost reached the time that we set aside to stay in the USA. However we have not yet accomplished all that we set out to do. We have been in several meetings in several states, reporting to supporters, presenting our ministry in new churches and meeting with brethren in printing ministries. The response has been great.
Several commitments have been made by the printing ministries. I am amazed at the interest. We currently have 4 new supporters and a couple more are expected by the time we leave. Several have given special offerings to help us make a move when we return to Thailand as well as purchase a car. At this point we are still short about $5,000 to cover those costs.
Additionally, a container of Burmese Bibles, New Testaments, Gospels and tracts will be shipped to us upon our return. It will be necessary to ship most of this across the border in a very short time upon its arrival. We will need around $7,000 to do this. Brethren are waiting for it now!
We are aware of a number of other churches who had expressed interest in us coming but it did not look possible in the original timeframe. This e-mail is being written to see about the interest if we decide to stay a while longer, maybe until late February to try to work these in.
We are aware of the possible scheduling conflicts with the holidays. But, if you are interested in having us present the ministry or report, please contact us ASAP. We are looking at the schedule now to see if it is profitable to stay a couple of more months.
Please pray for our co-workers in Thailand as they will have the added load if we do extend our time in the USA.
If you wish to know more of what we are projecting to do when we return, contact us and we will send you an attachment with details.

Greetings from Colorado!
I am just finishing up a series of meetings in WY and CO. Krinny has stayed at our house in Fort Worth doing some important scanning of old Burmese Bibles. We now have 6 editions of them scanned dating back to the first printing of the New Testament (1832) and the first whole Bible (1840). These have proven invaluable to brethren in Burma as they research and prepare for a future revision.
Our local staff of faitful co-workers in Thailand remain busy in the work. Please pray for them.
Please pray for wisdom for us as we work on setting a date for our return to Thailand. A lot needs to be done before we return.
Here is a link to our latest prayer letter. Thank you for your involvement with us in prayer and finances. This work would not be possible without you!
Merry Christmas!

Greetings from snowy WY!
In our last update we asked prayer for an important shipment of New Testaments in the Falam Chin language. They were safely unloaded but then encountered delays in trans-shipping them to their final destination. Praise the Lord, we just got word that the shipment safely arrived and a dedication service is planned for the 12th of December. Many are anxiously awaiting that event! Thank you for praying, our co-workers were very appreciative as they handled this with us away.
We are trying to set a date for our return to Thailand. Please pray for those arrangements. We are anxious get back but are convinced of the need to be prepared both with finances as well as personnel. Several translation/publishing projects are on hold awaiting funds and additional help. Each project is needed for evangelism, discipleship, and strengthening churches.
We are receiving 3-4 requests each week asking for materials which are not yet in print. These requests have come from Thailand and regional countries as well as the USA, Canada, and Australia
Please continue to pray as we interact with churches here in the USA concerning these needs. Thank you for all you have done to labor with us.

Dear Intercessors,
Please pray much for an important shipment which is to be unloaded in Thailand on Thursday evening USA time. I cannot give all the details, but at this writing one of our co-workers is on a bus heading to the distribution center on the border. Upon unloading these he will make the further shipping arrangements. This is a first printing of a new translation of a minority language. Many are praying now inside the country; please join them for safety, and of course for the necessary funds to make it happen. Can you imagine waiting years for a good translation of the Word of God? Please pray.
We are being greatly encouraged by the churches here in the USA. God is at work and we are confident of His leading during this short 3 month trip. Currently we have several new supporters as well as some special offerings for very specific needs preparing us for return. If you wish to know more, let us know and we will send you a vision statement which details what we are preparing.
We are also amazed at how brethren have responded in providing the printed materials. At this writing in the Burmese language, 5,000 Bibles, 60,000 New Testaments, as well as Gospels of John/Romans and tracts are being prepared. Please pray for these brethren as they raise the necessary funds to print. Pray also for the needed funds for shipping.
We could not possibly imagine undertaking work on this scale without you, our faithful intercessors. Please do not cease your labors.

We arrived in the USA on Sept. 22nd. Jetlag and just plain weariness kept us from full activities for a bit of time longer than any other time in past flights. Krinny and I talked about it and decided that we have never been this old before either! Maybe that explains it.
I am over my injuries from falling down the stairs in Thailand. PTL, I got off the crutches about one week before we departed. That made the 20+ hour flight a bit uncomfortable, but all is well. Thank you again for praying.
I am in OH now just finishing up with a series of meetings in churches as well as printing ministries. I am scheduled to go back to Fort Worth on Friday then out again to meetings in TX and OH in November.
The next container of Burmese scriptures is nearly ready to ship. We are awaiting some last information from the customs broker in Thailand before setting a date of shipment. A shipment of 35,000 Falam Chin New Testaments is on the way to Thailand now, delivery date to be the 31st of Oct. Please pray about the customs clearance and delivery of these New Testaments. Of course we will not be there to receive it but we have very competent and faithful coworkers who can easily handle it. However, please pray concerning this shipment. Brethren are standing by to schedule a dedication for this new translation.
I will not have enough room to update you on all that is transpiring now, but will just ask prayer for the ongoing work in Thailand. Please pray also for the Lord's will to be done with us while in the USA. We are sharing a vision with churches now of what the Lord has helped us to see while in Asia. Much more needs to be done and we must be prepared to undertake it. Three months of doing that is not enough without a miracle. If you wish to know more, contact me and I will send you a vision statement that we wrote.
It is such a blessing being in our home in Fort Worth and with our Church family. Oh how spoiled we are! Thank you again for your faithful intercession. You are an important part of getting the Word of God to those who need it most.

Dear Intercessors
It has been almost three weeks since I fell down a flight of stairs and deeply bruised my hip and leg. Most of that time I have been either totally down or struggling to walk with crutches. Today, the pain level is manageable enough that I am walking some unassisted! I am not exactly running any races. However this is a tremendous blessing as it is now only 8 days before we depart for the USA. Thank you for praying. Please don't stop, I still have a huge lump on my leg and thigh and a large "knot" which the Dr. described as scar tissue. It looks like there was no infection as was feared!
During the time that I was out of commission, two of our local co-workers dealt with shipping of around 12 tons of Burmese Scriptures and portions. Today we received word that all three shipments arrived safely at their destinations! So much more could be said but it is not prudent to do so in this manner. Thank you for praying, God is able. We thank Him for faithful co-workers who traveled around 15 hours to deal with this and did it so ably.
Please pray as our date of departure for the USA is approaching very quickly. We have much to do so that the work here does not suffer by our absence. A lot of responsibility is being put on our local co-workers. Please pray for them!
Thank you again for praying. You are such a significant part of the work here by your intercession.

I am recuperating from my injury two weeks ago when I fell down a set of stairs. Crutches have given me some mobility and the pain is now at a manageable level. Another assessment by the Dr. is due on Wednesday. We are now down to 2 weeks before we are scheduled to depart for the USA and I have been laid up for exactly two weeks today.
Due to being out of mostly out of commission I have had to pass on much of the responsibilities to others. One very big matter has been dealing with some shipping of materials. Two of our faithful co-laborers left tonight to attend to these matters. They are up to the task, but at the same time they are concerned as it is a big job. Approximately 10 tons of the materials will be transshipped by the end of the week if all goes well. Please pray for these brethren, and the safe arrival of these materials. We have already shipped around 8 tons of literature in the past two weeks.
In the past few weeks we have become aware of just how many people pray for us. It is such an encouragement and blessing to know that you pray and care so much. Thank you, please don't stop.

I mentioned in our last Update my injury due to a fall down a flight of stairs. I wish to report that after all the tests were done they showed nothing broken, just severe bruising, and soft tissue and muscular trauma. At this point, I am able to walk a few steps without crutches. The Dr basically told me to keep off my feet until it was better. We have come to accept the fact that I may be like this for most of the time between now and when we depart to the USA. Many have written and called expressing concern and commitment to pray. Thank you! Please keep on praying
One of our co-workers from PA will be returning to the USA this evening. Anne Hammond has been with us for just over one year. This is her second time to work with us in Thailand and she will be sorely missed. She is leaving a lot of friends behind. Pray for her as she heads home and all the things that go with it; finding a job, etc. Thank you Anne, "Ya'll come back now, Ya hear?" If you would like to keep up with her adventures, contact her via ahammond83@gmail.com.
We have just posted on our website our latest Prayer Letter. Click here to view it in Acrobat PDF.
Rejoice with us over an answer to prayer about a vehicle for the time we are home. A supporter contacted us and offered their mini-van to use for that time. How we thank the Lord for attention to every detail.
We have never seen as many opportunities yet as much opposition as this time in our lives and ministry. It is evident that we are in a battle. However, we have read the end of the Book and know who the Victor is! Thank you so much for your faithful intercession for the Gaudet Family and co-workers. Please don't stop!

Greetings Brethren,
On Monday, I fell on the top step of a steep, narrow, tiled stairway while preparing to clear out a storage area. I slipped on water on the landing and before coming to a rest, I had hit every step to the bottom. I was very sore the next day and a large bruise began to form on my hip. On Thursday I went in to see a Dr because the bruise began to spread, (18"X6") and real pain set in. I was on blood thinners and I am sure that this has contributed to the size of the bruise.
However, at this point a large lump (8"X5") has developed on my hip and thigh and it was examined by ultrasound yesterday. The determination was that the bleeding is inside my thigh muscle at that spot. I am to report back to the Dr tomorrow if it is still painful and growing. At this point it is indeed both of those things and the concern now is for infection in that area, inside the muscle. Please pray that this can be avoided as it will be difficult to get rid of and has the potential of laying me up for a very long time. I am unable to walk more than a few steps now.
These things could not come at a worse time, physically nor financially. Of course this complicates preparations for our trip back to the USA on Sept 21. We also have a lot of details to work through so that things in the office are not handicapped by our absence. I cannot begin to tell you how many things have gone wrong as the days approach. In fact the very evening that I fell, a motorcycle and I tangled and I was skinned up on the same side. We are also having major problems with the server in the office, including backing up and therefore jeopardizing all the crucial data. This must be sorted out this week.
We are still trying to finalize a few things on the video we announced being prepared. Its completion is caught up in all these computer problems.
It is very evident to us that the enemy is testing the strength of the forces, looking for a way in. Without Him we are weak. Please stand with us in prayer.

We finally have a bill in hand for the customs clearance and delivery of the 40' container. It came to around $1,850, about the cheapest of any of the shipments we have received! In our last Update, we also mentioned the need for funds with which to trans-ship these materials. As of now, the rest of the funds have been committed to allow us to ship all we planned into the place it is needed the most. Much of the rest of it will go into strategically placed depots in other locations.
Another young man from Burma who is attending university here in Bangkok offered to work with us part-time as he attends school. He will be a tremendous asset as we continue to develop more materials in the language as well as working with proofreading the Bible as it is being re-typeset. This is a great blessing as he already has a visa to stay in the country. Pray for us as we pick up the pace in Burmese.
With the help of two men from PA, we have just completed a video. We trust this 11min video will be used of the Lord in challenging churches to reach refugees from Burma who are now being relocated to the USA. The video will be duplicated and mailed within a month, Lord willing. If you wish to have a copy, click here or hit Reply to send a request.
Again, thank you for your intercession. Please do not stop!

Subject: Gaudet Family Update - Container arrival!
Date: 8/07/2009
We just unloaded a 40' container with over 40,000# of Burmese literature. This included Gospels of John, Gospels of John and Romans, New Testaments, and Bibles. Some of it has already been given to brethren who are ministering with Burmese. Additionally, we were able to distribute around 600 of the Gospels to migrants. It was a thrill to hand out copies of the very items that we re-typeset last year.
We are now faced with getting out as much of the materials as possible in the next month. As you know, Krinny and I are going back to the USA in mid September. Time is against us as we undertake this work.
We are awaiting word on the exact amount that the container cost to clear customs. However, the broker has said that clearance was without incident. Thank you for praying.
One situation that we need to ask prayer for is the need for funds to get a large part of these trans-shipped to the place they really need to be used. We have approximately $2,200 on hand for this purpose. The opportunity exists for us to move these immediately - before we depart for the USA. The immediate need is for $3,050, which would give us enough to ship 500 boxes. It is expensive but the only way to get the materials to those who need them most. When dealing with quantities such as this it requires quite a bit of logistics. Please pray concerning this.
We also need to trans-ship a large quantity to three other locations along the border areas. This will strategically place the materials in very easy reach of those who work with people from Burma.
In dealing with brethren in both countries in recent days we have run across several Bible institutes which operate in Burmese or Karen and/or English. There is a severe shortage of materials available in Karen and Burmese but these folks have a real hard time even getting teaching materials in English. We want to start gathering used, doctrinally sound theological books for these men. One great request is for church history books. If you have or know of a supply of used books which fit this description, please let us know. Space in an upcoming container shipment could be made available for this purpose.
Thank you for praying. We will never know this side of Glory the impact that has been made with our intercession.

Dear Intercessors,
Thank you for your faithful prayer on our behalf. We are keenly aware of it at this time.
We have two men with us now from PA. These fellas are helping us produce two short videos which we trust will be greatly used of the Lord to communicate a vision. Please pray for us as we leave for the Thai/Burmese border region on Tuesday. This is the second trip there in the past 10 days. A 40' container is due to arrive on Wed, and immediately we will be doing some trans-shipping and distribution. Please pray that the container will be cleared from customs without undue charges.
At this writing, printing is either ongoing or just completed in Nepal, Vietnam, Lithuania, the USA, Thailand, and Myanmar. We just received word of some materials we had printed making into the hands of North Koreans! Publishing work is ongoing in many languages now. Our Lord is very good to allow us to be involved in publishing His Word. Souls hang in the balance. I wish I could tell you all of what is going on. There is simply not the space to mention it all.
In my memory, never has the Lord put so much before us or involved us in more than now. His blessings and provision have been great. At the same time, never before have we experienced as much spiritual opposition. Sickness for many on the team as well as opposition on every hand has challenged us in many ways. Please pray much for us at this time. Pray for our physical health, wisdom, grace, understanding as well as boldness to spread the Gospel.

Brethren,
I am writing this from Vietnam. This trip was a very long time in the planning stage and it finally came together this week! We are meeting with men here concerning literature needs as well as leaving files for a very important publication to be printed. Many have seen this book and are very excited about having it as a tool for evangelism.
Please pray for our traveling safety as well as effectiveness in dealing with these issues. We want the mind and will of God.
Of course, please pray for Krinny and our faithful co-workers in Thailand while we are gone. Thank you for your faithfulness in intercession, especially when you do not know all the details.

Happy 4th of July to everyone. This is sort of a non-event outside of the USA, but we each celebrated it in our own way. It coincidentally was also a Saturday and that is normally our day to rest, or whatever. We did celebrate it a little however by going out this evening to eat at a Mexican restaurant. I did not get to explain much about the holiday to Noah, our Burmese co-worker. I was too busy explaining to him what he was eating. Mexican food is not something that is eaten in his country! He seemed to enjoy it however. I love watching people have new experiences...
We want to ask you to pray for us this next several weeks as from today until the 21st of August we will have visitors with us. We are scheduled to pick up the first of them at the airport tonight. Heather Braley and Aaron Money, from Milford, OH, will be here for one month. It will be a blessing to have them share in the work for that time. Two more will arrive from PA later this month and next.
A container is due to arrive in Thailand on the third week of July. It contains 40,000# of Burmese Gospels of John/Romans, New Testaments, and Bibles. It will be a challenge getting these into position to be distributed. This will be the first time for us that a container is not being unloaded in Bangkok. A lot of logistic challenges lie ahead. Please pray. Pray also for us to be able to clear the container without excessive customs charges.
We are also awaiting word about a shipment of New Testaments from India and a smaller shipment of materials from Nepal. God has blessed and this literature is slated to be placed strategically for distribution. While these short term workers are here for the summer we plan to put them to work!
We just sent the electronic file for printing the New Testament in Burmese. The work is proceeding on the rest of the Bible now.
We have tickets purchased for the 21st Sept for the USA. Our plan is to visit churches and share a vision with them for the work as well as have some much-needed fellowship with the brethren of our home Church. We are booking meetings now. Please pray for these, God knows the need. Already on the schedule are meetings in CO, WY, TX, WV, TN, and MO.
Krinny had to spend two nights in the hospital last week for kidney stones. This is the third time for her with this. God is good to have us in a place where the medical care is superb.
Thank you for praying and standing with us. I wish there was room to tell you everything that is going on right now.

So many of you pray faithfully for the Gaudet Family and co-workers. We are grateful and readily acknowledge that it is because of your prayers and support and our Lord's help that we are able to have any impact at all in this work. Please do not stop!
Gary Karle, from our home Church is with us until the end of next week. He has already made a couple of trips with me as well as helping in many other areas. We are scheduled to depart tomorrow morning for Nepal, to return on Tuesday, June 16, Lord willing.
We will be looking into either obtaining or developing some doctrinally sound materials in Nepali for ministry in other countries. We also will be leaving a book to be printed there. Thailand has over 300,000 Nepali speaking people. We encounter them often and really do not have anything to give to those who are interested in knowing more about the Gospel. The large book which we are leaving to be printed was finalized here in our offices. It should be very effective in evangelism inside and outside Nepal.
We have begun the Old Testament portion of the Burmese Bible, preparing it for reprinting. The New Testament will be ready to send to the printers on Monday, Lord willing. A container is on the way with 40,000# of Burmese scriptures. Please pray for its safe arrival as well as customs' clearance. Please pray that we can get it out of customs without undue charges. That will be only the start of a lot of work and expense as we move these materials around the region for effective distribution.
Please continue to pray for our co-workers as they remain faithfully at the task of publishing in many languages. I assure you, sometimes it is just plain hard work. Three more languages were added this past month.
We have begun scheduling meetings with churches in the USA for the period of time, October-December 2009. Please pray for the scheduling. May our Lord bless this brief time home. Thank you again that we can call upon you to pray.

Greetings from Thailand! We trust this finds you doing well and enjoying the blessings of the Lord. This year is slipping by very quickly. From now till mid September we have on the schedule visitors for all but around 10 days! We are excited about each one coming as it enables us to accomplish much more and also get in some needed fellowship!
I am going to take this opportunity to list a couple of items for which we are in need at the present. Many of you have asked what the needs are so here the immediate ones are listed.
We have just made a quick trip to the north of Thailand, on the border area. It was necessary to find a fourth place to rent to accommodate literature. Some printing was just completed here in Thailand, some is arriving next month from the USA. Storage in that place is strategic to effective distribution. With the rental at around $120 per month, the total storage costs for the literature in each location (4) will be just over $400 per month. Each one of these facilities puts the literature within reach of those who need it most. Please ask the Lord for wisdom for us about it. Frankly that is outside our ability to pay at this point, but essential.
A young Thai man as been working alongside us in the office since Feb '08. He is a trained translator and a faithful member of an independent Baptist Church. For these 15 months he has been translating (with permission) the complete Bible Institute Curriculum from Bible Baptist Church Publications, Oak Harbor, WA. At this point, we estimate it to take him 5 more months to finish.
Until now, funds for his salary have come from pooled money from the Gaudet and Lange families. Last month's salary came 100% from churches in Thailand and Singapore! We need to secure funds for the completion of this work, around $2,100. When finished, it will probably be the most important thing in Thai that we have ever been involved with. Nothing else in Thai exists. Please pray concerning this need. It has been a huge project. 10 years from now no one will remember the translator or the money invested into it, but the curriculum will continue to be used to train men for the ministry.
Two international trips are greatly needed at this time. I am awaiting info from within each country before finalizing plans. Please pray that we can work out details. Both are for the purpose of commencing printing inside those countries.
We are now making plans to be in the USA from October-December. Please pray that this time will be well used as we visit churches. The Lord knows the needs beyond what we have shared with you in this mail. Thank you for your concern and involvement in prayer and finances. You do make a difference.

Greetings Brethren:
I know it has been quite a while since sending our last update. We have returned to Thailand on May 8 from Europe after a wonderful time with our daughter and family. We dealt with publishing projects in two regional languages while there. Of course, during this time our co-workers in Thailand and the USA were staying with the task and several major projects were worked on.
A man from our home church has just arrived. This is his 4th trip to Thailand and he will spend another month here with us. It is a great sacrifice for him to take his vacation here with us each year. He is a blessing, working and traveling with me during that time. He is helping me make preparations for filming of a couple of videos when other brethren come next month for that purpose.
The Burmese New Testament has just undergone its final proofreading. We were able to get a one year visa and work permit for the young man from Burma we have working with us on this. Now that the New Testament is finished we are making preparations to complete the entire Bible. PTL, funds have been committed for its completion.
We have a container on its way with nearly 20tons of Bibles, New Testaments, and Gospels in Burmese. On this end, we are making preparations since much of this material needs to be spread out across the country rather than being warehoused in Bangkok. We are going to another border region next week to rent an additional facility strategically accomidate some of this material. Two other large printings in the region are underway as this is written.
On Friday, we were rejected for a visa into a neighboring country. This caused a full schedule inside that country to be laid aside for the time being. We have made the contacts in the country and put these plans on hold and are now making application for visas into another regional country where a greatly needed trip has now come together.
Please forgive the rather vague references but if you wish more information, please contact us directly. Meanwhile keep on praying. I cannot recall a time in our ministry where more is going on or where it is more far reaching in its scope. We are also considering a trip back to the USA for a couple of months to take care of some things there and visit some churches we were not able to get into last time home. Please pray with us about this, the timing as well as the meetings. It will have to be in the fall if we do it.

Dear Intercessors,
Krinny and I are in Lithuania as this is written. We are enjoying time with our daughters' family. (4 grandkids!!!) While we are away from Thailand, our coworkers remain there. This next week is the biggest holiday in Thailand. During this time however, Thailand is in political upheaval. Because of demonstrations, the government just declared a state of emergency. Most of the problems connected with these demonstrations are centered in the center of Bangkok and thus should not affect our co-workers. However, we have no idea what will happen. Please pray for them during these days. We feel terrible not being there to offer whatever encouragement we can to them.
While in this part of Europe, I am making contact in Germany and the UK with some archives of materials in SE Asian languages, especially Burmese. In addition to this we are dealing with literature in at least three European languages. It was a blessing to be able to speak in a Lithuanian independent Baptist Church last Thursday evening and this Resurrection Sunday morning.
We have just posted a new Prayer Letter online. For those of you who are on our snail-mail list, the letter is being printed now. For everyone else, please download and read this latest letter. Click to download
Funds are beginning to come in to help us with several of the projects presented in our last letter. We stand amazed at what many of you do to move this work forward. Please don't stop. We covet your prayer!

Dear Praying Friends,
How we thank and praise God for you standing with us in the place of intercession. We traveled to the Thai/Burmese border with the newly finished reformatting of the Burmese New Testament. After a couple of days there, we left a team of men who were proofreading the work. It took 6 days to proofread their way through the New Testament two times making typo corrections.
All that work is finished and on Monday our co-worker from Myanmar is to return to Bangkok, carrying the precious edited file. He will put the finishing touches on it here and Lord willing, at the end of next week, it will be handed over to printers! It looks like he will be able to remain in Bangkok for the next few months and we plan to keep him working by turning his attention to the Old Testament until the funds run out to keep that focus going. Please pray!
Krinny and I are scheduled to leave on Monday evening for Lithuania to visit our daughter and family (including 4 grandkids!). Please pray for our travels and visit with them. Brian and Lisa Johnson have been in Lithuania now for over 11 years.
Please pray for our co-workers who will faithfully remain here carrying on the publishing work. We are set up better than ever for this kind of absence but just before we quit for the week on Friday afternoon, the whole office network went down for a while. We stopped what we were doing - actually nothing at the moment - and each one of us prayed for God to bless and sustain our labors and the equipment during our absence. It was a joy to do so and when we finished, the whole system was working again. It was a great reminder that we must depend on Him and not the technology.
We have never had more going on and more to show for the work than now. Please continue to pray and trust the Lord with us for His sustaining hand.

Subject: Gaudet Family Update - Hmong
Date: 3/21/2009
Dear Intercessors,
Please pray much for the Lao Hmong brethren in the refugee camp in Thailand during these days. There has been a tremendous amount of pressure for them to volunteer to return to Laos by both governments. The decision was made by a number of the church leaders to "volunteer." They are keenly aware of the consequences and some of them expect to suffer because of it. Most likely many of the families of the church members will follow.
Essentially the church will be disbanded when all are gone and the refugee camp closed. When that happens, they will be scattered in many places where they are taken. Several leaders are prepared to step forward when that occurs. No one knows exactly what will happen but this is a crucial time in their lives. Please pray for God's protection for them as well as His equipping them for what lies ahead. Many have already endured more than we can imagine. At least two of the ladies are great with child and expecting to deliver any day.
It is possible that on Tuesday there will be an opportunity to see the ones who are slated to leave. Please pray with us about that. There are many demands on our time right now. God knows.
It is such a blessing to know that many of you pray diligently. Please do not stop.

Dear Intercessors,
Before the office is fully operating daily our staff and whoever might be present meet together for prayer. The men meet in the office and the ladies meet at our house or theirs.
This morning was a special blessing to me as there were 4 men present, all from different countries. One of them is Thai; one is Falam Chin, an ethnic group in Burma; one from Nepal; and me (a very white American!!) Two of the men speak 5 languages each, one of them two, and of course... we won't talk about me right now. As we prayed, I thought of the fact that today may be the day that we hear the trumpet sound, the eastern sky part, and a voice that says "Come up hither." (Revelation 4:1)
As I thought more about it, I thought how blessed I would be if He came back at that moment and found me praying with brethren from these different nations, tribes and tongues. What more could be asked?
Krinny and I are now scheduled to depart on April 7-May 6 to visit our daughter and family in Lithuania. There is a new grandbaby waiting there for us to meet, as well as three others to spoil. It will be a blessing to visit with them. Pray for these travels, and for the work and laborers who remain faithfully working here while we are gone.
We know of several short term visitors who are planning to visit Thailand and work with us for as much as 3 months. Other men from neighboring countries are being communicated with about short visits here to finalize publishing projects.
It took us 4 years to comprehend the vision God has given us for a full-blown Translation/Publishing office reaching around the region from here in Southeast Asia. It looks very much like He is fulfilling that vision a little at a time.
Please continue to pray for these efforts. Stay updated with the current and recently completed publishing projects we are working on by going to www.gaudetfamily.org/Projects.html
Thank you for standing with us in prayer. We are not as young as we once were and can tell it. Pray for our health please. Pray for provision that we might be able to go forward with many of these efforts. It is certainly beyond us. If you are interested in how else you can help, please contact us.

Dear Intercessors,
We hope to give you a quick update and ask continued prayer. Jeff and Sarah Evans from Temple, TX spent 10 days with us correcting some major issues with our computer systems and network file server. We Praise the Lord for these folks giving of their time and Faith Baptist Church helping by providing the funds for their travel.
We have just gotten word that a container full of scriptures in Burmese is almost ready to ship from the USA. In addition to 2,000 Bibles, and 10,000 New Testaments, over 400,000 John and Romans have been printed. Also, this past week, a printing was completed in Burma of these John/Romans. They are being distributed now by the brethren there. We re-typeset the John/Romans last year.
We have a man here now from Burma who is doing the meticulous work of formatting the New Testament. Myra Noel traveled from the USA to work alongside him as this work is completed. We expect it to take another month, then depending on funds, we hope to complete the formatting of the entire Bible, thus preparing it for reprinting.
A printing of an important book, Good and Evil in Korean was just completed in Korea. Just a few days after being picked up at the printer, we received word that a quantity was distributed to refugee children from North Korea and a portion was being transported to more of them. Pray for many more opportunities for this publication.
We are to pick up a Nepali man from the airport on Sunday evening. He is to help us finalize proofing in his language. Please pray that this can be done in the two days he is to be here.
So much is going on now that it is nearly impossible to communicate to you. Please pray also for the Lao Hmong brethren in the refugee camp in northern Thailand. These are very difficult days for them as pressure is put on them to return to Laos.
Please visit www.gaudetfamily.org/Projects.html to get an overview of the things we have before us now. It has been newly updated. God has blessed us greatly by having faithful prayer warriors pray for us. Please do not stop!

Subject: Gaudet Family Update - Prayer for Hmong requested
Date: 2/28/2009
Brethren,
Please continue much in prayer for the Hmong refugees from Laos in Huay NamKhao Thailand. The military guarding them has made some very strong moves designed to make them want to go back to Laos. From this month on, their choices in the matter will be less than it was before. Many things are changing, including the NamKhao Baptist Church as well as a couple of other congregations will not be allowed to leave the front gate to go across the street to meet together.
Over the past 31/2 years we have heard many things like this which did not come to pass. However, everyone seems to think that the military is very serious about it. If forced back to Laos, the brethren will be scattered as families are relocated in many parts of Laos. The scenario has been discussed many times and now the leaders of the Church are trying to make some detailed plans for what will happen to the furtherance of the Gospel if and when their relocation occurs. Some no doubt will be persecuted as that is the reason they are in Thailand to start with. But it is possible that several congregations could be started as a result of their relocation.
The Jeff Lange family is nearby there now planning to try to get into the camp at least this one more time before the severe rules which would restrict their meeting together makes it impossible to see them again. Please pray that the Church will indeed be allowed to meet and spend time with the Langes. Pray as they talk and make plans that will help guide them if/when they are forced back. May our Lord be honored in all that occurs!

Subject: Gaudet Family Update - Things moving quickly!!
Date: 2/25/2009
Dear Intercessors,
How grateful we are for your faithfulness in prayer on our behalf. As indicated by the subject line, things are moving very quickly here. Let me outline some of the events and ask continued prayer.
A Chinese/Burmese man just left this morning after arriving on Saturday. Working with our staff he finalized proofing and corrections on a 320 page book of illustrated Bible stories in his language, Zaiwa. It will be ready to print in about two more days.
Another man arrived on the same day who will be working with us for at least one month. Last night, Myra Noel, one of our coworkers arrived from the USA to work with him. In the two days this man was getting settled in, he finalized two other important projects in Burmese and spent the day today proofreading a large publication in his language. Everything starts full-bore at the end of this week preparing the Judson Bible for reprinting, Lord willing.
We had asked prayer for an IT man to come and help us get some issues resolved with our network of computers and server. We are very thankful for several folks who contacted us desiring to help, but were unable to do so because of scheduling. Today we got word from Jeffry and Sarah Evans from Faith Baptist Church, Temple, TX. They are leaving the USA on Thursday morning and will be here until the 9th of March to help us get these things straightened out. We are overjoyed, all having had to deal with problems which have hindered the work for some time now.
Also today we got word that around $2,500 has been given to help with the Burma project. Additionally we are preparing files for two printing ministries in the USA to start on printing for the region.
We simply cannot tell you of everything that is underway at present. We do want to make a difference. To do that we must make the work we do sustainable by local people. Therefore a great deal of it is aimed not only on evangelism and discipleship but on training also.
Please continue to intercede and hold the ropes! To better know how to pray check out www.gaudetfamily.org/Projects.html. It will be updated again in a few days and is a good guide as to what is underway.

Dear Intercessors,
Please pray concerning a very large project which by the Grace of God will be commencing within a week. We will be hosting two people to facilitate this work. One is from a nearby country. He will arrive on Saturday, and the other is Myra Noel, our co-worker for the past 11 years. She will arrive from the USA on Tuesday. Both are expert in their work. Only the Lord could have put this together at this time. We fear being presumptuous starting a very important task such as this without specific prayer, but this prayer request will need to remain general in nature.
This work was originally expected to take 3 months, but it looks like with these co-workers it will be done in one month if there are no delays. Let me say this project is foundational. You may understand. Printers are standing by awaiting its completion.
Please pray for the evil one to be bound and not hinder this work. Pray for travel safety, and provision for these laborers. Some of the funds have already been provided. Please continue to pray about the other ongoing work which must continue while this is being done. We know that many will be faithful to intercede in spite of the lack of details. Those of you who know us will realize its importance. We just do not want anything to derail this from going forward. It is again, foundational, a very important project.
We are still in need of an IT professional who can help us here for a short time to get our workstations and server doing what they are capable of. Too much is at stake to risk loosing data. We have had contact with a few men but they are not available for some time. This need is immediate.
Printing is finalizing in three regional countries as this is written. Three more large printings are starting now. Please pray!

Subject: Gaudet Family Update - Travel, Networking Help Needed!
Date: 2/12/2009
Greetings Brethren,
We want to thank you for praying for the recent trip I made to a neighboring country. I cannot possibly communicate all to you that transpired on that trip, but let it suffice to say that many prayers were answered! We now have not only a firm plan but have been offered the help from nationals to accomplish much that God has given us a vision to accomplish there. I will not be more specific than that right now as several things are developing as this is written.
Please pray for a man that we have invited to work with us here in Thailand for a specified amount of time from that country. He has the skills needed. We have been looking for the right help and this may be the answer to that prayer. If it works out that he can travel here, the large project that we primarily have on our plate now may be as much as 6 months ahead of schedule. I wish I could say more at this time, but please pray.
Also, we are in great need of an IT professional who knows computer networking to help us here in Thailand for a short time. We have a small network with a server and need help setting it up to do everything that it can do. Honestly, the main problem is that we do not have the knowledge to do it. There are IT professionals here but we need to be able to understand what is done to it and how to maintain backups, etc. If you know a dedicated Christian networking expert who might be willing to give a week or more to help with this, please contact us. The need is immediate.
We are aware that many of you intercede on a continual basis for the Gaudet family and the work here. Please don't stop. It is very evident that you are praying and also very evident that the evil one is active. One of our co-workers has a severe eye problem that is causing enough pain to go to the emergency room day before yesterday and back to the Dr. today. She was told to rest from using the eyes for a few days. Another co-worker's child had a severely high fever. It has been necessary for her to be out of the office caring for the child most of this week. Pray for these co-workers' health needs at this time. A young man visiting from PA lost his laptop computer in a taxi today. Please pray that the taxi driver brings it back.
We are grateful for you who pray and help in any way to see the work go forward here. Thank you in Jesus' Name!

Dear Intercessors,
These past few weeks have been extremely busy. Our Pastor and wife were with us here for 10 days. It was such an incredible blessing to have them. A missionary needs a Pastor, I assure you. As mentioned in our last update, the military allowed us to be in the Hmong refugee camp for a Sunday service while they were here. They got to travel quite a bit with us and see some of the tremendous opportunities here. What a blessing!
Just a few days later 2 young men from Emmaus, PA arrived and we have been busy getting ready for a trip to a neighboring country. It took several days to get visas issued and we are now scheduled to travel on Sunday for a four day trip. This trip is very important to the ongoing work. We have several contacts and projects that will be able to be followed up on during this time, Lord willing.
The opportunities before us now are immense. Several churches have contacted us in the past few weeks wanting to help in some way. A couple of printing ministries have also asked if they could help. We stand amazed at all of it. Printing is going on now in several locations in the USA as well as 4 other countries.
Please pray much for effectiveness for us and our co-workers during this time. The enemy fights this on every hand. Pray for unity, safety, provision, additional laborers, and the ability to communicate all this to supporters and other friends who stand with us.
Our daughter Lisa just gave birth to a boy, their 4th, and our 4th grandchild! Brian and Lisa Johnson are missionaries in Lithuania. If you look at a globe or map you will understand how far that is from Thailand. Grandparents will understand!
To keep up with the ongoing publishing work, please bookmark www.gaudetfamily.org/Projects.html.
This site will help you know how to intercede for us. Thank you for your part. Please don't stop praying.

Greetings praying Friends,
We have several things to update you on at present. I will try to condense.
Alex Coats, a young man from Frederick, MD who has been here with us for the past 3 months leaves tonight. We are going to sorely miss him. He was a great help to us during this time.
Our Pastor and wife, Larry and LaRue Adkisson will arrive Tuesday night for a two week stay. We are really excited about their visit. LaRue is recovering from eye surgery and Krinny is still not 100% recovered yet so it might be interesting but we are going to enjoy their visit nevertheless. Please pray that their time will be valuable in fellowship and vision sharing.
The military has given tentative permission for us and the Lange's to be with the Hmong brethren in the refugee camp this coming Sunday! Jeff and Theresa Lange's Pastor will be here during the same time that my pastor and wife are here. Only the Lord could work that out! If all goes as planned, we will all be in the refugee camp on Sunday to worship with the Hmong brethren. Please pray that nothing will transpire to derail that plan. It will be a tremendous encouragement to everyone involved we are certain.
Please pray about some needed workers. We are trying to put together a team of Burmese men who will be able to use their language skills to help us re-typeset the Burmese Bible for printing. We have part of the team selected and they are doing what they can but we are still looking for that key man to get this done. Pray also about several translations going on now on important publications in languages of Burma. Go to www.gaudetfamily.org/Projects.html to keep updated on this work.
Pray much for the work here. It is very evident that the evil one desires us to leave the work alone. Maybe you can imagine how difficult it is to keep focused on the work at hand. The demands on our time sometimes seem overwhelming to take us off the most important things. Pray that we all can stay focused on publishing His Word for those who have never heard.
In November we sent out a publication via snail mail. We are amazed that still many have not received that mailing. Please click here to view this special Focus on Burma Newsletter if you have not already seen it.
Again, we are grateful for your involvement with us in prayer and standing with us financially. We all share the blessings of publishing His Word.

Dear Brethren,
Please intercede at this time especially for the Hmong refugees in Phetchabun as well as a detention facility in Nong Khai. I will not recap their history other than to say that they have been under constant threat of deportation since we met them. Access to them has been limited to about one visit every month for the past year.
To see the latest info about them being reported in news sites, please click the stories below. This is a crucial time for these folks. Please pray especially for the brethren of NamKhao Baptist Church that they would stay true to Christ during these hard days.

We left on December 30, traveling 6 hours to the Thai/Burmese border. Meetings there all day yesterday then traveled back to Bangkok this evening (Thursday). Many possibilities exist there. Please continue to pray.
May we committed to serve Him together in 2009!
