Gaudet Family Update – April 21, 2012
April 24 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags: 2012 Email UpdatesGreetings Brethren,
Andy Kiesel from Oak Harbor, WA has extended his time here by a couple of weeks and since he is available, it would really be good if he could accompany me on a needed trip to Burma. However, we have run into a snag with my passport and must wait till Monday when the US Consulate opens. If all goes well, that matter can be cleared up and we would still have time to get a visa and make the trip. Please pray that all this will work out and all the right connections will be made in the country also.
A 40′ container of Burmese Bibles, Gospels, New Testaments and tracts is due to arrive in the first week of May. Please be in prayer concerning that now. Pray that there will not be unreasonable fees applied to it and that we can get the distribution worked out while on the trip to Burma. Many things are changing in Burma. Please pray for the work of the Lord there. We are seeing several years’ work publishing in the languages of Burma really start to pay off as brethren there have more freedom to use these materials than before. Also there is more focus on Burma now from Christians in the USA and other countries as they see the country open up. To God be all the Glory for open doors!
While showing some of our recent guests around the city, we stopped off at a Buddhist temple with some very old ruins. There I met a 64 year old monk who spoke very good English and wanted to talk. That conversation now has led to a couple of face-to-face visits as well as a number of phone calls. We have left him literature which he is reading and making comments on. Please pray as we build a relationship with him, and that it would lead to him seriously considering the claims of Christ on his life.
For Souls Still Waiting,
Tom and Krinny Gaudet
