Gaudet Family Update – Co-workers, Shipping, Travel (long!)
September 1 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags: 2010 Email UpdatesDear Intercessors,
Jeffry and Sarah Evans arrived last Wednesday and are mostly settled in. They are driving already! Several months ago when we found out that they were coming we began to pray and look for housing for them. A few weeks later we heard about a missionary going back to her country for two years. She wanted to sublease her house. We immediately looked at it and were thrilled because it was fully furnished and even included a car to drive! The rent was very reasonable. She actually left town 4 days before the Evans’ arrived. They had nothing to do other than bring in their suitcases and they were comfortable there! I guess we were just “lucky.” (grin) Only the Lord could work that out.
April Wilson is due to arrive on Friday evening. We are certainly excited about these new co-workers. Including local staff, we will number 11 people. The days to come should be productive and exciting.
We just received word that the container ship would arrive in Thailand in a few days. It is expected that by the 9th we will be unloading the container. Please pray much about this. Pray for the container to clear customs without unreasonable charges.
We know many of you have already been praying. Please continue. Pray that we will have the funds to move the materials to strategic locations as soon as the shipment arrives. Pray that it will not be necessary to rent more storage space while we ($160/mo) while we wait for funds. Really the materials are needed now. Many pastors have urged us to expedite the shipments.
I am purchasing a ticket now to be in the USA from mid October- mid November. Krinny will not be going at this time due to the short trip. We think it is necessary to deal with several matters including some time with our home church during these days. I may be able to visit a couple of churches also during this time.
Looking back over the past few years, Krinny and I are amazed at what the Lord has done. When we think about the sacrifice of so many of you so that others can have the precious Word of God we are once again humbled. It is a wonderful thing just to be part of what God is doing.
For Souls Still Waiting,
Tom and Krinny Gaudet
