Gaudet Family Update – Tom’s Recovery
May 26 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags: 2010 Email UpdatesBrethren,
Please excuse this hastily written update. My surgery went as planned on Saturday afternoon. The surgeon said he was able to repair the damage to the nerve in my elbow/forearm. However, after the surgery pain persisted. I spent until today, Wednesday in the hospital mostly to deal with pain. It was necessary to undergo large doses of painkillers. The Dr. said that the damage was repaired but in my case it may be weeks before the pain is gone. We are not sure about the numbness in one finger.
Please pray that we can control the pain with oral medication from home. It will be necessary to go to the border on Friday so that visas can be renewed.
Thank you for praying. Several have called and written. We have even received special offerings to help pay the medical expenses. I cannot express how grateful we are for the concern you have.
We thank the Lord for our staff of dedicated co-workers. They were faithful at the work while I was out. We are most blessed of the Lord. Among other important work, the disk for printing the Judson version of the Burmese Bible was sent to the printers yesterday! PTL!
For Souls Still Waiting,
Tom and Krinny Gaudet
