Gaudet Family Update – Update on Milton Martin

December 16 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags:
Dear Intercessors,

This is just a short report for so many of you who faithfully interceded for Milton Martin today. At around 2pm, Bro. Martin did have the “shock” procedure to correct his heart rhythm. It was successful and he has already been released and is resting at home!

Thank you for interceding, please do not stop. Pray that the Dr’s will have a treatment which might prevent this at a later time.

Gaudet Family Update – Prayer Requested for Milton Martin

December 16 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags:
Brethren,

Prayer request for Missionary Milton Martin: He is in the hospital where the Dr’s have been trying to regulate his heartbeat since he was admitted. So far the medicines have not worked, so the situation has escalated to the point where the next procedure being considered is shocking the heart back into rhythm. Of course that is risky and really the last thing they want to do. However it is strongly being considered.

Please take the time to intercede now.

Gaudet Family Update – October 30th, 2014

Brethren,

Greetings from Texas! We are humbled to know so many of you intercede regularly for this missionary family. We count your labor in intercession as the most valuable asset we have. Please don’t stop!

We would like to ask special prayer for the following at this time:

Approximately 24 hours from now, Friday night USA time, Saturday morning Thailand time, over 800 boxes are slated to be shipped from our facility in Thailand. This shipment represents two languages, both of them first-time printings of the New Testament for ethnic languages in Burma. Please intercede for this. Such precious cargo! Such faithful brethren there handling this in our absence!

We have never been busier in this regard than now. Another container is on the ocean as this is written, and printing is taking place or starting soon in three Asian countries as this is written.

We are also working with brethren here in the USA toward the first printing of the New Testament in Urdu for Pakistan.

Krinny and I will be traveling again next week for mission conferences and meetings in churches. We just finished a conference in our home church. In that conference, we were aware of the other missionaries who would be there and as only the Lord could do, we had need to meet with each one of them concerning publishing or outreach in their countries. It turned out to be a very strategic week.

Please hold our co-workers and our family before the Throne at this time. Thank you in Jesus’ Name.

Gaudet Family Update – October 16, 2014

Brethren,

Thank you so much for your faithful intercession on our behalf. We certainly know that many of you are praying!

Somehow an e-mail update I wrote failed to make it to the distribution list. It concerned the safe arrival of the 40′ shipping container reported to be still enroute at our previous e-mail update. Thank you for your faithful intercession concerning this literature. In fact, a second, 20′ container arrived 2 weeks later and the contents of both are in our warehouses. We are organizing the trans-shipping now.

Praise the Lord for faithful brethren in Thailand who were able to handle this on our behalf while we are away. What a blessing!

Krinny and I just completed a whirlwind trip of over 4,000 miles during which we visited family, dropped by some of the printing ministries which have been helping us over these years, and spoke in a number of churches. Because of the way this trip came together we were unable to plan it in advance, we just knew it needed to be done ASAP. When we departed we had no firm dates, but we ended up being able to visit with brethren in 6 of the printing ministries, and I spoke in 7 churches.

It was a blessing renewing friendships and making new friends along the way. Actually, it has been a long time since Krinny has been able to travel with me to visit some of our supporters.

When we left for Thailand in 2005, we planned to be there one year and had prepared for that. Little did we know that the Lord would open the doors He has and we would still be based there over 9 years later. We were NOT prepared for that! However, meeting brethren here in the USA now, we see why we have been able to continue to this date. So many are so committed to faithful intercession and support.

We are back in Texas now, just in time for our sponsoring Church’s annual Mission Conference. Then we are off again for the west coast.

Please pray for us over these next few months of travel. Please pray for those dear folks in Thailand, holding the ropes there, making it possible for us to be here now

Gaudet Family Update – September 8, 2014

September 9 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags:
Brethren,

By this time in our USA stay we had intended to already a couple of months into travels to visit churches. Instead, because of medical problems for both of us, we have only been in a handful of meetings where we have reported and shared testimony of God’s provision and direction in our ministry.

However, we are now filling out our calendar and organizing things for the next few months of travel, (Lord willing!). If you have a specific date in mind, please let us know ASAP.

In an earlier e-mail update, we told you about a couple of prayer initiatives for the outreach during the Asian Games Sept 18-Oct 4 in Incheon, Korea. I did not at that time have all the info needed, so here is another Facebook page where daily reports will be shared. Most of the info will be duplicated on the other page, but it is good to friend this page for those of you who use social media. The link for that page is here.

Please pray for the outreach. The potential for ministry with those who have never heard is so great as athletes and coaches come from many countries in the region where missions as we know it is restricted.

Also, please pray as we have a 40′ shipping container due in Thailand within the next week. It contains nearly 40,000# of literature in the Burmese language. Please pray that it can clear customs without undue charges.

One of the very strategic things we had on our hearts to do while in the USA is working with some of our brethren in the printing ministries here. They have done so much already and we want to encourage these ministries with how much of an impact it has made. Please pray as we continue to make these contacts. More, so much more is needed in the region.

Greetings Brethren,

Some of you know of our past involvement in outreaches during Olympic style events. For the upcoming Asian Games, September 19-October 4 in Incheon, Korea we have played a rather small role, working with brethren who have organized an outreach. It is such a joy to see others step in and take up the opportunity to reach out to the athletes and coaching staff.

Especially the Asian Games is such an opportunity. Of the 45 countries participating in the games, nearly 40 of them are countries where a traditional approach to missions is not possible. 13,000 athletes, coaches and staff from these countries will be participating.

Of course, prayer is essential. We would like to make you aware of at least two initiatives aimed at equipping you to be able to pray specifically for the outreach. Please consider signing up for both of them to get regular updates from the team on the ground in Korea during the games. There will of course be some overlap of information but it will be worth it to get a full picture of what is happening.

Asian Games prayer e-mail list. This is being organized by Mrs. Francis Martin. She is sending great information about the opportunities and will be sending daily updates from the field once things are underway. To subscribe to that e-mail list send an e-mail to this address cecy2302@hotmail.com and ask to be subscribed to the list.

Facebook; Asian Games Prayer page. You should also watch the updates on this page. To make sure you get notice of new info and are able to comment, you should be a friend of the page. Click here: Asian Games Prayer Page

We would like to encourage you to go to these sources for updates and regular prayer requests from the outreach. You will make a significant contribution as you intercede.

Gaudet Family Update – Home from Hospital

August 4 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags:
I want to thank all of your for your prayers on our behalf. Tom is home and resting. He is bruised and tired and has doctor ordered restrictions on his activities for a few weeks. The second procedure took a much bigger toll on him than we had thought it would. The doctors say however, it was successful. He spent 5 nights in the hospital.

We will update you again soon. Once again thank you for your prayers. We know that they are what counts and makes the difference. He had good care at the hospital, but ultimately we know that the Lord is the One who takes care of us.

Gaudet Family Update – Procedure Update

August 4 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags:
We wish to thank so many of you who have interceded while I underwent the heart vessel procedure nearly 24 hours ago. Within moments of posting the original e-mail Update, we began receiving expressions of concern by several who were sharing it with their churches and friends. What an encouragement it is to know so many care.

We would like to report to you that the one major blockage that was such a concern has now been opened and a stent inserted! This second procedure in two days has left me pretty well beat up, but other than superficial bruising all seems to be well.

In fact, the cardiologist has signed off on it but I am going to be staying over tonight so they can monitor some elevated lab readings.

Thank you again, please don’t stop praying.

Gaudet Family Update – Hospitalization

July 31 | Posted by Tom Gaudet | Gaudet Family Updates Tags:
Sunday morning July 27th, when I awoke, I knew something was the matter as my heart was out of rhythm. Krinny took me to the ER. The rhythm problem corrected itself while I was in the ER but the doctors had noticed some things in my lab results and vitals which they thought best to check out with more tests.

I was admitted and the next morning (Monday) I was taken in for Cardiac catheterization and possibly a stent. They could not get the stent past a blockage, so today, Wednesday 7/30/14 at 5 PM, they are going to the “roto-rooter” treatment to clear the artery and then try to put the stent in again. Please pray, as these procedures are not without risk. I will send an update as soon as I can after the procedure. It may be a couple of days.

All this developed very quickly and we could not write till now. We appreciate your intercession.

Tom and Krinny Gaudet
